RAFARS NEW CHAIRMAN.
RAFARS 3968 Sqn Ldr Gary Wann G0DNI is now the Chairman of RAFARS.
DATES OF 2007 RAFARS COUNCIL MEETING AT DCAE COSFORD.
20 Feb., 24 Apr., 26 Jun., 11 Sep., 13 Oct.(AGM), 13 Nov.
A Field Rep will be invited to each meeting and travel expenses paid.
All members may ask to attend meetings but expenses are not paid.
80M CW RAFARS WEEKLY NET.
Due to very poor skip conditions on the 80m CW RAFARS Net for the U.K, no
QSOs have been established over the last 7 weeks, but Peter G3ICH hopes
conditions will improve before long, so QAP every Tues 1900L on 3.515 CW.
WEST YORKSHIRE VHF NET
Reminder to all who are within range that the West Yorkshire VHF Net is
QRV every Thursday at 1900hrs (local) on 145.325 Mhz, Your support would
be appreciated, G0JKW/G3HWF Peter will be QAP for you all.

Gordon M0SCT 3830 QTHr would appreciate any information relating to the
Master type 2 contactor WW2 aircraft vintage, it is rated at 10amps,
24V, AM number 10994.
G8FC LATEST.
Bernard G0SWO visited HQ just before Christmas and used the equipment and
callsign for 2+ hours and made a number of contacts at home and abroad.
With the arrival of the new regulations, the use of G8FC on a regular
schedule by Stan G0BYA and Don M0FHM will be discussed shortly.

GB2RAF AIR DEFENCE RADAR MUSEUM RAF NEATISHEAD RAFARS PERMANENT S.E.S.
On Sat 9 Dec I contacted 36 stations (on my own again) and for the first
hour I had a chat with G3RAF/G0PFR Jim and G2AFV Peter on 3.710 and we put
the world right Hi
Conditions Fair on 80m, 40m was good with QSB at times, so I stayed on
7.075 most of the day. I did go on the key on different bands a few times
and it paid off. At 1440Z I had a CW QSO with W4UQ in Florida on 14.013.
GB2RAF should be QRV every 2nd Saturday of the Month 1000-1500 hrs local
on SSB or CW on 80m or 40m if conditions are poor. For full information
