DATES OF 2007 RAFARS COUNCIL MEETING AT DCAE COSFORD.
20 Feb., 24 Apr., 26 Jun., 11 Sep., 13 Oct.(AGM), 13 Nov.
A Field Rep will be invited to each meeting and travel expenses paid.
All members may ask to attend meetings but expenses are not paid.
PEMBROKE AIRCRAFT XF799.
John VK6AU 4123 would like some input on XF799 Pembroke Aircraft which is
now at Watkins Hanger Colorado (KFTG) which arrived there about 10 years
ago and it is hoped to make it into a flier again. The aircraft was famous
for its flights through the Berlin Air Corridors. If anyone has knowledge
of this aircraft's history or maybe someone has flown it, then advise
John VK6AU details in QRZ Call book. Another person connected is Dave KT0H
(not Rafars). The RSARS has also been advised about this item.
SPRING 2007 QRV AND QRZ
The Spring edition of QRV and the full version of QRZ - printed every two
years - are at the printers and will be posted out very soon.
The electronic version of the new QRZ will be on sale at the Harwell Rally
on the 11th Feb and by Mail Order. The new MO form is on the reverse side
of the address sheet of your QRV package.

SSB FIELD DAY 2006 RESULTS
G8FC/P came 9th out of 25 entries in the restricted section, a good effort
by G3ZDW Roger and the team GONWY, M0DZB, G0DAM, G4DQP, GONVY and G3KWY
who supplied some of the equipment. Well done all for taking part.
MUSEUMS ON THE AIR WEEKEND WORLDWIDE.
Just a reminder Museums on the Air weekend will be on the 16/17 June 2007

has all the details relating to LOV and registering the SES.
GB2RAF AIR DEFENCE RADAR MUSEUM RAF NEATISHEAD RAFARS PERMANENT S.E.S.
On Sat 13 Jan. 22 contacts made on 3.710 conditions fair, just not many
stations on the air. Alan 2E0LSX (guest) gave me a helping hand.
GB2RAF will be on the air 16 June for Museums Weekend, but will not
be operational on the 9 June unless I get a volunteer.
GB2RAF should be QRV every 2nd Saturday of the Month 1000-1500 hrs local
on SSB or CW on 80m or 40m if conditions are poor. For full information

Those of you who have a copy of RSGB Year Book 2007 will have noticed
that GB2RAF have not been included under the Permanent SES (Page 77)
the RSGB have been informed of this.
