RAFARS ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OCT 2005 REPORT
29 members and wives attended the annual dinner. On the following day only
7 Area Reps. and 20 Members out of about 1400 Members attended the AGM.
A good meeting was had by all with no major upsets or complaints.
The result of the ballot to amend the Constitution was 119 votes for the
amendments, 1 against and 3 abstentions. The post of Technical Manager was
disestablished but Bob G4DDM will become the IT Consultant and continue as
Web Master and Historian. You will be all pleased to hear that Subs will
remain the same - £11.00 per year payable in April..
The Ladies outing included a ride on the Seven Valley Railway which was a
very successful event.
Peter G4KGG received the G3FVC Shield, David G8ZVT the Constructors Cup,
Stan G0BYA the Area Representative Award and Terry G4PSH the G2LR Trophy.
It was good to chat to G4SOH, G3ZDW and G4NVD both on /M and /P on 2m.
NEXT PROPOSED RAFARS COUNCIL MEETING AT DCAE COSFORD.
The next meeting is on the 29 Nov 2005. The list of dates for 2006 will be
published here and the invitation to an Area Rep. to attend each meeting
will continue.

RAF HALTON RAFARS NEXT MEETING.
Those living in the Buckinghamshire area and surrounds - your next RAFARS
meeting is on Thursday 24th Nov 2005 1930L in the RAFA building. Apologies
for the cancellation last month which was due to decorating.
YORKSHIRE EAST RIDING 2M NET SECOND TUES OF THE MONTH 1930L.
Due to intermittent QRM on 145.325 - the controller will QSY to 144.725
without announcing this on air.

Messagathon 2 was delayed and should now take place around the end of Nov.
