RAFARS NATIONAL FIELD DAYS.
RAFARS G8FC/P came 25th out of 27 in the Restricted Section of the CW HF
NFD in June 2005. Not a good result but we flew the RAFARS flag and a good
time was had by all - which is what its all about.
A thank you to Roger G3ZDW, Duncan G0NWY, Bob G0DAM, Mike G3JKX, Art G3KWY
Peter G0NVY, Dick G4WZI, Craig M0BUL and Tom G4OSB. Your RAFARS support is
much appreciated. A full report appears on page 34/35 of October RadCom.
With only 1 volunteer, the SSB Field Day at RAF Cottesmore on 3/4 Sept 05
had to be cancelled. It was a pity after Roger G3DZW, our Contest Manager,
put so much time and effort in organizing the venue and the RAFARS entry.

GB2RAF AIR DEFENCE RADAR MUSEUM RAF NEATISHEAD RAFARS PERMANENT S.E.S.

between 1000-1200 and again from 1330-1500hrs.

That concludes major air shows for this year.
INTERNATIONAL SPACE STATION ALPHA/ZARYA.SPACE SHUTTLE.
All Shuttles have been put on HOLD until the heat shield separators have
been checked out and cleared for installation safety. Hurricanes Katrina &
Rita has also affected the launch programme.
Shuttle Discovery lift off April 2006 dates not yet known.
In the meantime Russian Soyez is also standing by for crew changes, stores
supplies and waste if required.
