G8FC ON THE AIR FIRST MONDAY OF THE MONTH - March 7th.
Stan G0BYA/Roy G3MVK will operate G8FC at HQRAFARS using CW and SSB on the
usual RAFARS frequencies between 1000-1200 and again from 1330-1500hrs.
MEETING AT RAF HALTON AFTER 15 YEARS OF QRT.
On 17 Feb Jim G4PFR AR for Bucks arranged a meeting for his members at the
RAFA Club. G6XAJ G4SNQ G4CUZ G4DDM M0BLM and G4PFR attended.
"Well done",Jim.This is a start, Let's hope you get more support from the
Bucks Members and also get RAF Halton QRV again. As we have lost many RAF
Stations in the past this would be a bonus.
The next meeting has been arranged for 21 April 2005 at 1930hrs .
ANNUAL GET-TO-GETHER MIDLANDS AREA.
The annual Get-together of Midlands Members organised by Stan G0BYA and
Roy G3MVK will be held on the 13 March 2005 at DCAE Cosford.
TELFORD RADIO RALLY CHANGE OF VENUE.
The Telford Radio Rally will take place on the 4th of September at Orleton
Park School, Wellington one mile north of J7 end of M54.

GB2RAF AIR DEFENCE RADAR MUSEUM RAF NEATISHEAD RAFARS PERMANENT S.E.S.
GB2RAF will be QRV Mar 12. The Station is operational every 2nd Saturday
of the month from 1000-1500 local time.
On Feb 12 conditions poor due to long skip and a contest but a helping
hand was given by Rex G0CLR and Keith M0DZB and we worked 40 stations.
All RAFARS/RNARS/R.SIGS who would like to operate or visit the station are
welcome. Phone Terry, G4PSH, on 01692 582064 if you wish to operate.
(Operators please bring your Amateur Licence and I/D).

from Collerne as Air Formation Signals representative on behalf of
all the service Societies.

Aug GB4VJD dates & venue to be confirmed.
Dennis also advises that Spike G4AKQ (RSARS) will be running GB6ØVED from
the Royal Engineers Museum, Chatham for 28 days in May 2005.
All RAFARS members are urged to give Dennis and Spike maximum on-air
support for these Special Events..
AIR TRAINING CORPS RADIO.
On 2nd Feb 2005 at 1256 GB2ATC 1132 ATC Sqn Stalham, Norfolk communicated
with NA1SS International Space Station on a schedule. The cadets asked 20
questions during the 10min 3 seconds the pass took with signals 5/9 plus.
The schedule was organised by Terry G4PSH, Sqn Signals Officer. The RSGB
GB4FUN and Alec 2E1EIV RAFARS 4460 helped out with tracking and station
set up. It should be on RSGB news www.rsgb.org web site and also listen to
the QSO on www.g4psh.co.uk
A sponsored ATC Radio Exercise Messagathon for UNICEF, by Aldridge. Staffs
Sqn ATC took place on 4/5 Feb and £600+ was raised by cadet operators for
the Number of ATC Sqns contacted and Number of messages passed. "Well
done All and Martin G4NCE for organising it..
A News Flash has gone out to all ATC RAFARS Squadrons asking them to take
part in the RAFARS VHF Contest on Sun. 17 April

Shuttle Discovery lift off 17 May 2005 STS114 (OV103). This is the first
