RAFARS MARKETING MANAGER.
RAFARS Council is pleased to announce that Michael M0MJG, who is also the
A/R for Dorset, has volunteered to take on the post of Marketing Manager
and Area Representatives' Co-ordinator.
A/Rs and other members who are organising stands at Rallies should contact
Michael so that he can prepare and dispatch commodities and publicity
material in good time. Mail Order requests by individual members should
also be sent to M0MJG at his address as per QRZ.
A big "thank you" goes to Dorrie, the wife of G0DAM, who has held the fort
for the past eight months.
RAFARS AWARDS MANAGER
To concentrate on his new role as Marketing Manager, Michael M0MJG has
given up the post of Awards Manager. Volunteers for this post should
contact the Administrator at RAFARSHQ
RAFARS QRV EDITOR STILL REQUIRES.
Stories, events, photos, your society and club news of today, Air Training
Corps News, photos of your shack etc, etc by e-mail to:-
qrv-editor@rafars.org or 2e1raf@thersgb.net. Correspondence by post to
QTHr in the QRZ Call book under G0TAK (see Sup 2 page 6 for address). All
correspondence will be acknowledged. Only by members input can Roy produce
our QRV Magazine.
G8FC ON THE AIR FIRST MONDAY OF THE MONTH.
Stan G0BYA and Roy G3MVK have made arrangements to operate G8FC from the
HQ shack on the 1st Monday of each month starting in February. They will
use both CW and SSB on the usual RAFARS frequencies. Times are from 1000
to 1200 and again from 1330.to 1530hrs.
ANNUAL GET-TOGETHER MIDLANDS AREA.
The annual Get-together of the members organised by Area reps Stan G0BYA
and Roy G3MVKof the Midland will be held on the 13 March 2005. The venue
is Cosford with a conducted tour of the Aerospace Museum starting at 1030
and lasting about 2 hours. It is important to contact Roy G3MVK Shrop's AR
as soon as possible as the tour is limited to 20 places.
TELFORD RADIO RALLY CHANGE OF VENUE.
The Telford Radio Rally will take place at Orleton Park School, Wellington
on the 4th of September 2005 one mile north of the M54 junction 7. There
will be a RAFARS stand.
SHROPSHIRE RAFARS SUNDAY NET
The Shropshire RAFARS 2M Net is QRV at 2200hrs (local) every Sunday on
144.725 Mhz or below. All will be welcome.
NATIONAL RAFARS 80M NET.
For some 3 month the RAFARS 80M net has been 'Down' due to radio long skip
conditions, so if anyone is wondering what has happened, do not despair
conditions should improve again once the evenings get lighter.

GB2RAF AIR DEFENCE RADAR MUSEUM RAF NEATISHEAD RAFARS PERMANENT S.E.S.
GB2RAF will be QRV 12 Feb. The Station is operational every second
Saturday
of the month from 1000-1500 local time.
Comms. on the 8th of Jan were good and we remained on 80m for the duration
I worked 46 stations including PA3CRI Matthijk RAFARS 3348.
But once again I had no helpers.
All RAFARS/RNARS/R.SIGS who would like to operate or visit the station are
welcome. Phone Terry, G4PSH, on 01692 582064 if you wish to operate.
