I didn't mention exports of Holdens to Canada. It must have been someone
else. I believe that both Holdens and Falcons export to New Zealand and
the Far East, and there was publicity a year or so ago that the
resurrected Holden Monaro (a high performance sports car) was being
marketed in the US but under an American car's badge, I forget which one,
de Soto,Pontiac? I forget.
Falcon and Holden are the only entrants in the Bathurst big race, probably
because of their initial price, the availability and cheapness of parts,
and their high performance. It would be interesting to see them enter the
NASCAR to see how they go against Chev. and the other American cars in
that race.
