Hi Bob and all,
My "good old days" began with a 1959 Chevy Impala and the classic 283CID
engine but I DID help my uncle restore a Ford Model T flatbed truck so I
have some idea what you mean. A friend still drives his restored Model A
and once in a while I hear him and it on 2M, Hank F never thought of
THAT. (;->)
By "decoke" I suppose you mean cleaning the heads, with so little
compression and so low a flame temperature I'm surprised it ran at all.
Exhaust emissions HAH, the stink alone left a trail of dead horses
behind! To me the good old days were the Bronze age, stone and iron are
too hard to work, a copper car is easily soldered back together. Now
copper is priced out of reach and soldering aluminium is difficult at
best.
