Hello Again Warren, and all car buffs ... some cuz we gotta have'em;

If you forgot the reference to the Today Show ... no problem, we're
all in that boat too , from time to time.

I didn't see the winkie Warren.  Sorry ol'bean.   I knew when I
posted a comment on that 1896 car race, but then too europeans
would have earlier ones too, and what a laugh to watch as they
left the starting line....creeping along.

Never said the VW "bug" was a dragster, but from the start at
a light, the VW has it over every car. This was 1st gear BTW
but then after that.... whatever they were baiting at the light
blew pass'em.

When you mention the Chevy Monza it always brings to mind the Corvair
BUT the Monza was the machine to have in those days. No doubt
about that.

I wonder if they still use a rocket sled? What a nice addition to
the amusement park industry. Now that I would like a ride in...

73 Pete VE3WBZ

Tagline: Then along came Ralph Nada and bye bye Corvair and Monza too!
