Hi Pete and all, if anybody...

I never said the bug was a dragster either (except for the sarcasm) but
they made great dune buggies. Bug, buggies... berry punny. Eh, about the
onlt thing one could beat at the light 1st gear or no was a turtle and
that reminds me of a classic Bugs Bunny cartoon.

Right, the second tier Corvair was the Monza and then a couple of decades
later Chevy challenged the Pontiac Sunbird with another Monza but it
puzzles me why GM would compete with itself. No it WASN'T the machine to
have, you never owned one but I have... but it got me where I wanted to
go and that's about all.

Yeah they still have rocket sleds but after the last guy who rode one and
somehow managed to survive much to the chagrin of everyone it has never
been repeated. Then there are the Mythbusters who always end up going to
extremes, smashing a steel block on a rocket sled into a car backed up by
a concrete block backed up by a dirt pile was SO much fun. Silly boys,
you need high explosives to impact weld steel and only then when you know
how to do it.

"Then along came Ralph Nada and bye bye Corvair and Monza too!"
It's Nader but your spelling is more appropriate.
