Hello Ian G0TEZ, and Bob VK6BE and others reading along...
OK went to the pumps today cuz fuel for the mob-bubble was CDN$ 1.12:6
per litre. After filling for CDN$ 20.00 ... I got 17.774 litres
of motion lotion, at 81 octane rating.
OH BTW way Ian... I once had to stop into JFK Airport in the USA
when I was supposed to be non-stop from BRASIL to CANADA. I think
you mentioned them and security ..so heres what happened and sorry
this isn't a part of fuel @ww ..so sorry for placing it here
I guess it should go under something else...
The security there, herded us all into a windowless room to wait
for the plane to be re-fueled and more passengers or whatever...
and well I was really angered at VASP airlines for this stop as
it as I said was supposed to be non-stop.
It was however and eyeopener to how people are treated.
Before being asked to get off the plane , each were given a sign
which read in transit... I guess for the security to see and help
them herding us....but then came something which made me really
angry at them... another reason NOT to stop or visit New York City.
There was as most were portuguese speaking people with limited english
and tired, and just wanting to get to Toronto ...one hour from there
by jet.... and one elderly lady was leaning on one of those no exit
siren doors and pushed it open by accident. She fell asleep and
well you know what happened with the door.
Sirens and lights flashing...the security...guns out come a running
and yelling and screaming at her, as though she was some criminal
trying to enter the USA illegally .... it was just uncalled for.
She was crying, and they screamed and happened to look at me, and
were going to try it with me too ...when in English a surprise to
them...I told them that she had fallen asleep and fell against the
stupid door. Why not lock it from the otherside instead of this
presto-cop show of stuipidty.
They gave me their ruddness again and I told them I really do not
want to be in the USA...never asked to fly here...it was non-stop
or supposed to be to CANADA. Why would I want to be here?
We had a few barbs, then all settled down... I had a alot of supporters
and the lady in portuguese thanking me.... and in the plane later
when we got on...a few looking and pointing at me...and waving etc.
VASP is gone ... no loss. Saves fuel for me...
