Hi Warren and others,
Glad to see you remember my experience with the over filled oil bath air
filter on the tractor (it was a ford 3000 by the way).
We had the experience here a few years ago where the local independent gas
station was selling bio diesel very cheap. It turned out that it was being
sold without the government taxes that are applied to "real" diesel.
The supplier claimed it wasn't a recognised fuel just a vegetable oil by
product and shouldn't be taxed the enormous amount that petrol and diesel
were.
There was the inevitable court case where the government wanted it's cut
In the end the court decided that it was a fuel, and so the bio diesel man
was hit with an enormous back tax bill whereupon he went broke and no more
bio diesel was available.
