Hi Peter and all,

The subject is oil and population or more to the point, energy vs.
population. That being the case why is everyone addressing the energy
side of the balance and ignoring the population? Quite obviously the
scales are OUT OF BALANCE with population far outweighing energy supply
so why try to add to the energy side when it's plain to see a futile
effort?

There is NO POSSIBLE WAY to keep supply up with demand when demand grows
by such leaps and bounds without regard to the slower development of
energy supplies. Do we DARE reduce population to a sustainable level? Oh
no, that's UNTHINKABLE even for the educated Western, First World where
"people of the book" have for centuries mistaken the blessing "go forth,
be fruitful and multiply and overspread the Earth" for a commandment,
thus taking it to the extreme resulting in such overpopulation that Earth
can no longer sustain the human species.

Wise up people, it can and WILL be done one way or the other, the easy
way or the hard way. Limiting births is the easy way, when a population
outgrows its resources it dies and that's the hard way. We in all things
have a choice, there are always alternatives while nature only gives
one... DEATH. Keep ignoring the human aspect and nature will do it for
you, there have been mass die-offs in our past and there is another in
our future unless we WAKE UP to reality and address BOTH SIDES of the
issue.

So why do I feel like a small voice crying in the wilderness?
