think they orinally had problems with rapid wear on the sliding seal, the
equivalent of the piston ring. Now the problems seem to be meeting emissions,
due to the low compression ratios.
The RX-8 is the latest one.

Difficult and expensive to build, not so reliable, but they are much smaller,
potentially more efficient and smoother running.
