Hi Pete, Ian and all,
I don't know where you come up with these things, yucca isn't at all
related to anything buy yucca. I don't know if you can make chips with
the root but I know about making flour with it, an old American Indian
thing since it grows prolifically in the Southwest. It actually will
survive NJ winters and grows fairly well, my grandmother had several
plants in her garden but watch out for the leaves, nature's knives and
swords.
You pretty much covered all the bases so off I go to other bulls... MOO!
