"Apple or Plum Chutney

Ingredients
4 pounds (1.8 kilograms) Green Apples or Firm Plums
1 pound (450 grams) onions
2 pounds (32 ounces or 900 grams) brown sugar
1 pound (16 ounces or 450 grams) Raisins
2 teaspoons Salt
1 teaspoon Cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon ground Cloves
1 ounce (28 grams) Garlic
Vinegar
Instructions
Chop apples, onions, raisins, etc. Put all ingredients into preserving pan
and cover with vinegar. Boil slowly about 2 hours. If plums are used, skim
out stones while boiling."
