Thanks Peter.
I suspect mine is the callsign to which you refer.
I seem to have ruffled one or two feathers when I left packet about five or
six years ago and some people seem to have what I'd consider to be
unnecessarily long - and perhaps vindictive - memories for what is supposed
to be a hobby.
I've never been afraid to voice my opinions and that doesn't always sit well
with some people.
When I decided to give packet another go recently, I was pleasantly
surprized to hear our radio BBS still on air. I think it has turned into a
bit of a disappointment - though perhaps not too unexpected.
As my BBS is a RADIO BBS with difficult network connections, it's not really
practicable to enter into any meaningful "cut and thrust" discussions -
assuming, of course, I was mindful to do so - which is vey unlikely.
Thanks again for expressing a normal decent value which was always to be
expected from fellow radio amateurs - but which is rapidly disappearing here
in the UK, unfortunately.
73 John.
