So you'll be able to fix the poor immunity of his PIR. That way he wont
need to buy new equipment and he will think the sun shines from your
proverbial.

Well believe me sunshine, you most certainly DO need a lecture because you
are digging a hole with a JCB that will swallow you up. The next time
people hear from you will be when you emerge in Oz.

As soon you get financially involved you are committing yourself to future
liabilities and problems.

Sounds like you are describing your neighbour.

Funny you decide to get belligerent with me not with the other people who
gave you exactly the same advice. What you need more than anything is the
advice and support of your fellow hams. Why do you think we are all saying
you are going about this the wrong? Do not you think we are all saying the
same thing because we might have all been involved in similar circumstances
at some time and have learned how to handle these situations?

What this hobby really needs now is someone who thinks he knows it all when
the ink on his licence is barely dry telling people who have between them
some 40+ years (M5WJF, M5AAV, and myself) of dealing with EMC problems,
irate neighbours and the like.

I would also question why you need swear using 2 separate 4 letters words
in your bulletin. Do you have to resort to gutter language to get your
point across? You and your neighbour seem like you deserve each other.

Please ignore all the advice you've been given. Do it your way. Get
involved and help him buy his new PIR. And you can reap the harvest you
have sown.
But when it all turns nasty, don't expect anyone on here not to say you
were warned. And probably have a good snigger at your misfortune.
