The EU is updating the EMC regulations, the paragraph on interference
now specifically protects amateur radio from interference.
Old regulation
2) Member States are responsible for ensuring that
radio-communications, electrical supply and telecommunications
networks, as well as equipment connected thereto, are protected against
electromagnetic disturbance.
New updated regulation
(2) Member States are responsible for ensuring that
radio-communications, including radiobroadcast reception and the
amateur radio service operating in accordance with ITU radio
regulations, electrical supply and telecommunications networks, as well
as equipment connected thereto, are protected against electromagnetic
disturbance.
