I do a lot of typing, it's how I earn a major part of my wages, so
keyboards are a big part of my life.

HUD junior uses my original PS2 keyboard (cost more new than the PC he uses
it on). He has that because he cant break it!

PS1 keyboard is now used only for maintenance on the main x86 Linux box.
That runs headless most of the time. I dropped a vacuum variable capacitor
on that keyboard and the T key is iffy now. The VVC faired worse, bu**er!

I'm using a Dell USB Quietwriter now. If the IBM's score 10, then this is
an 8.5. It's the same as the keyboard I use at work. Having two exactly the
same is a big help. I must see if I can find an IBM USB keyboard for home
and work. I got the pair of Dell's gratis :-)

I spent 2 years using a Toshiba A30 laptop. It had a horrible keyboard,
keys in the wrong places, dumb layout, no slope, incorrect stagger. But it
was still a damn site better than most other laptop keyboards. I'm glad I
dont use it anymore. But I'm even more glad I dont have to use the Dell
laptops at work all the time. Boy is there something not right about them.

Of course if you're a two finger peek and peck typist all this will be
meaningless to you.

:-)
