Actually, there are 9 ways in which a batsman can be dismissed, according
to the laws of cricket:

1. Bowled
2. LBW (Leg Before Wicket)
3. Caught
4. Run Out (Stumped is a special case of Run Out)
5. Hit Wicket
6. Hit Ball Twice
7. Handled Ball
8. Obstructing the field
9. Timed out (may be appealed for when a batsman takes longer than a
specified time - I believe it is 3 minutes - to appear after the previous
batsman is dismissed).
