What Thinkpad ?
There's more than one, you need to specify which one - ok man ?
But as an owner of an 1993 Thinkpad, and a 1998'ish Thinkpad I think
(get it) that it's a BIOS battery fault.
Guess what you're supposed to do when any battery is flat :-)
