Hi to this font of information !!!

Given an IBM think pad with a fault to look at and basicaly was not rearly
worth anything as it had a Disk fault as well as a start up fault.

Now the owners got a new laptop and I was left with the Think pad ?

Took out the drive and to my surprise once re formated remotely I was able to
re install and load windows onto it ? Restarting is the problem becouse each
time it comes up with an error -- 161 and 163 -- ?

I have managed a couple time to get past this but then get a Date Time
display which is always default ? (2000 Etc) even when I correct this it will
work only as long as left on, once switched off it is back to the default
again.

Left on PSU/Charger all night but problem remains ? had a look under deck but
no sign of any BIOS Battery which from the problem looks like being the
answer if it was a normal Desktop Etc, but I am not familier so not certain.

Any one familer with these and can confirm or tell me what 161/163 fault is
and if it is a battery then where is it located or is it part of main pack
Etc Or is this one free item destined for the Recycle Bin ?

Thanks for any answers, been a while since last on, has this mode still got
those knowladgable people out their ?
