You can just bring up a CMD shell which to all intents and purposes acts
like the DOS CMD line from DOS 6 and Win98. This is normally found from
Start>Programs>Accessories>Command Prompt (Classic View). Or you can click
Start>Run and type cmd in the box and hit return.
The thing to note is that this command shell is a 32 bit app and not a 16
bit app like the command shell in DOS 6 and Win98/ME. Sadly this means that
not all software will run in this shell, especially "clever" stuff that
uses memory extenders.
Using Andy FTD's method may be needed in some cases.

If you haven't loaded Win XP then don't expect too much hardware to
function!
