This seems to be getting very complicated. I'm no expert on WINPACK
but why can you not simply hit the print icon or if you only want
a section of the drawing, to highlight,copy and paste to clear
screen and then click print.
I wonder if it's because you are not using the WINPACK font and thus
not displaying the files properly in the first place.
A few more details may help to explain what you are getting at with
this method as I'm not following the plot at the moment.
