Did you know that? A snail can sleep for three years.

Hello everyone. I see that the debate on printing ASCII is still going
on so here is a copy of a bulletin I recently put out on this subject
to GBR only and my own 'cure' for it. I feel it may be of benefit to
a wider audience. Hope it helps someone out there in this big wide
  world?

I have found a simple way of printing high-bit ASCII as used by John
G8MNY straight to my printer without leaving Winpack. It sounds
complicated but is really easy for Winpack users and goes something
  like this:

If you haven't got it aquire a copy of the Winpack TELEtext server by
Andy G7OCW and install it and set it up. If anyone wants this little
addon I could put it onto the network as a couple or three parts of 7+.
I run Winpack using the Winpack font.

Now, whenever you see some ascii from, say, John G8MNY download it and
highlight the text/ascii you want to print, and save it to wherever,
usually in Winpack\Extern as xxx.PAG, where xxx is a number. I use
  989.PAG for mine.

Now, simply run Winpack and type /tele xxx and hit enter, up pops your
saved teletext file in all its glory. Just highlight the text/ascii
and click on the printer icon at the top of Winpacks screen, click OK
and you will get a printout of some nice text/ascii. At least I do!
Hope that helps someone? Regards and....
