Hello

The cheapest way to charge a Lead Acid Battery is also the
nastyest and dangerous way.
Like in the early days : Assuming 230 volts ac mains : use a
Diode (like a 4007) and a 100 watt Regular light Globe
(Bulb) in series. Thatl do it. The Globe runs on about 215
Volts then and will last longer...
Early radio batteries where charged in this way, mostly then
on DC Mains, cause there wass no practical rectifier...

Today this is an unsafe , NOT recommended practice. !!!

Still cheap, so.
