Hello

The cheapest way to charge a Lead Acid Battery is also the
nastyest and in a dangerous way.
Like in the early days : Assuming 230 volts ac mains : use a
Diode (like a 4007) and a 100 watt Regular light Globe
(Bulb) in series. Thatl do it. The Globe runs on about 115
Volts then and will last longer...and flicker a bit..
Early radio batteries where charged in this way, mostly then
on DC Mains, cause there was no practical rectifier...The
Globes then run on 215 Volts about which is not to bad.

Today this is an unsafe , NOT recommended practice. !!!

Still cheap, so.
