Sounds like a good project. When do you expect to have
a beta available?

Subject: The search for a gene...

                       GENETIC
FACTOR EYED

Biofeedback Systems in Los Angeles, is looking for
volunteers with a rare genetic inheritance, to participate in a
proprietary study.
At present, it is believed that fewer than one person in 400
carries a rare genetic makeup that predisposes them to having better
health than most, a strong immune system, and an unusually high energy
level. Aside from behavioral manifestations such as a generally positive
outlook on life, the principal evidence that this genetic factor is
present, is mirrored in the shape of the eyes.
It should come as no surprise then, that the eyes themselves
would be used to select the people who are nost likely to have this
elusive gene. Individuals selected for this study will be white,
Caucasian, of either gender, and between the ages of 25 and 50.
Compensation will be determined by a collective evaluation of the total
number of applicants selected. Drugs will not be administered as a part
of the study.
The eye contour that embodies the required genetic trait,
has been roughly described as "almond shaped," but this is not an
adequate definition. Exact specifications follow.
Looking in the mirror with the head level, the qualified
applicant will see that the lower half of their eyelid is CONVEX UPWARD,
from the bottom on either corner. The bottom part of the iris will be
partially covered by the lower eyelid (this is important), and there
will be a reasonable symmetry between the eyes on the left and right
side of the face.
Applicants must submit a close-up facial photograph for
evaluation. Since no risk or disease factors have been associated with
this gene, any risk to volunteers in the study is contraindicated.
Interestingly, it is apparent that the "energy gene" as it has been
called, may be dormant in one or both parents, yet it may be actively
transmitted to their children; but it is only infrequently active among
two or more siblings.
If you know of a person, or happen to notice one whose eyes
might qualify them for this study (preferrably among those employed in
the technical community), you may want to share this data with them.
Since so few people are fortunate enough to carry this gene, your only
encounter with one of them may be in a fleeting moment. It would be
wonderful if you had a copy of this announcement with you, and could
share it with a prospect in passing. Alternatively, you could specify
this website and posting date, or perhaps my email address.
They may then contact Mr. Norman Swartz at this
[virus-proof] email address: analog24@webtv.net (It is not generally
realized that, because webtv has no hard drive, it is immune to
destructive computer viruses.) Or, they may write to: Biofeedback
Systems, Post Office Box 8501, La Crescenta, CA 91214. No telephone
calls please. Depending upon the number of volunteers selected,
applications will be accepted through the end of December 2000, with a
possible extension through 31 January 2001. The duration of the study
will be a minimum of two years.
