Under properties in the Volume control, you have to select a window for
"record" which is recieve and for Playback, which is transmit.

The input you use should be ON in record and OFF in play back.

I also use the Mic in for my set up HOWEVER there is DC on the mic jack
which you should block from your rig using a capacitor or a transformer, or
both. ( I use a 10Uf capacitor). The dc on the signal WILL distort the
recieive signal if not blocked, and in the case of my rig, that dc got back
into the audio ckts of the rig and caused improper squelch operation!

Thank you for the replies - got the sound card problem taken care of and now
I have the waterfall, but when I try to transmit, it doesn't key the xmitter
in VOX, and if I put it in AUTO, it keys all the time, with no rf output.
Followed the directions in manual, but still nothing. Wondering if the
jumper diagram is correct. Cant seem to even get heard on voice - but the
rig meters say that I am putting out 100 watts. Maybe the bands are dead - I
can only hear east coast stations on 20 meters. Any other suggestions - So
far, PSK31 is really great, but I want to do more than copy the mail.....

So which is happening? Are you putting out 100 watts or no RF output?

And what did you do to fix your receive problems?

It certainly helps if you provide detailed descriptions of what your
problems are.

Invite a buddy over and show you how to use your equipment.
Obviously you have more money than common sense...
