Subject: Have you used the Motorola DSP56002 EVM evaluation board?
Over the past few years many hams have experimented with the DSP 56002
EVM from Motorola. This board is now obsolete; so where do we go from
here? I'm doing some desk research into what alternatives exist in
order to establish the best way to move ahead. If you feel you can
contribute, I would be very grateful.
Have you explored any of the later Motorola EVMs such as the 56009?
Were they compatible?
Were there any problems porting code from the 56002?
Have you tried any other DSP modules instead?
Please either respond here, or email me as
mailto:gareth@g6kvk.demon.co.uk. (don't email my NTLWORLD account)

Subject: No waterfall - what am I doing wrong??
I purchased a Rigblaster to try my hand at PSK31, and connected the jumpers
and wires just the way the website had posted. (I have a Kachina) I get a
pwr and a digital light. The PTT switch makes the digital light go away.
However, no matter which PSK31 program I try, I cannot get any receive
signal, although I can hear one through my headphones. I can test transmit
as well. I haven't gotten an answer back from the rigblaster folks. I tried
to set up the receive just like the manual said but I think I am missing
something important. Any help??
Thank you -

Have you set up the sampling rate under the network options (I think
that's where it is)? Without that, there is no sampling by the sound
card while you still hear audio.

I found that a call to the FCC's enforcement division put a fast stop to
illegal activity in the north Texas packet network. If you see any of these
morons willfully breaking the regs, give the FCC a call. They will rapidly
discover a new respect for the regs, and their fellow Hams.
