Subject: Help needed with amateur satellite gear

I have a AEA/Timewave terminal node controller that works most of the major
digital modes just fine (Using PK Term99). I am, however, in an advanced
stage of setting up a satellite station and it is my understanding the
PK-900 will not support some or any of the sat digital modes.

Would greatly value advice on what most dedicated sat users are using
(hardware and software). Being located in South Africa where ham radio is
dying on its feet (most of the major distributors have closed up shop for
lack of support) so we're pretty much on our own.

Please reply directly to tgerry@global.co.za

I don't think that's really the decision we are making, Bill. I think we all
realize that no matter who we elect, he/she will be another lying, swindling
cheat and thief...

That's a given.

The real question, of course, is which lying, swindling, cheating thief
looks and sounds best on television.

Nope, it doesn't match my license info. My license is set to my
permanent address, in the home town listed under my finger info.

If I were to change it as often as I change my apartments, I'd
be adding more cost and more waste to the FCC's paperwork jungle.

I get all my mail at both addresses, and I feel no reason to
change the FCC database info until I'm permanently located
elsewhere (Detroit, most likely) and am not going to be in
immediate contact with my ermanent address.

My question is why did you waste the bandwidth to post the
information made publicly available in my signature? If people
saw it, don't you think they'd look it up themselves if they cared?

I've got nothing to hide from, do you?

I guess it must just be related to the way CB'ers always post the
ham that annoys them's callsign info on the net. Those who don't understand
or have some reason to hide must think it is a major invasion of privacy or
something.
