Subject: AX.25 support for Windows 95/98

Are there any packages available for Windows95/98 which support AX.25
via KISS mode of a TNC? I'm currently running JNOS on a DOS 6.22
machine. As I understand it, my only other option is to use linux?

I don't need all the functions JNOS provides, since I just want to run
TCP/IP over AX.25. I have been unable to find any drivers/stacks which
would allow the TCP/IP stack of Windows 95/98 to bind to an AX.25
driver. Am I missing something obvious? Is writing this more difficult
than it sounds?

Subject: getting Kam from Kiss->Cmd mode ?

hi Folks,

How do I get my Kam from Kiss into Command mode ? I thought it was
ALT-192 (on the keypad) ALT-255 and then ALT-192 ? That doesn't seem to
work. I know CTRL-C and X gets from CW to Command etc... but whats from
Kiss ?

using a terminal program at proper baud rate.
num lock on
press and hold ALT type 192 on the keypad release alt key
press and hold alt type 255 on keypad release alt key
press and hold alt type 192 on keypad release alt key

check intface command
did you perm it to kiss? See next line
hardreset wont work?

Joe Buswell K5JB (SK) wrote a simple program to enter/exit kiss for
kantronics,
might still be out on the web under JNOS or NOS file ftp sites, nice
little ditty.

Yip, thats exactly what I did. I haven't permed it into Kiss mode, and I
reached Kiss mode through "intf kiss <CR> reset<CR>". A quick hard reset gets
it back into command mode, but I'm writing some software (in windows) to use
all the modes of the Kam. I can even get Linux to make it switch to kiss, but
not back to command mode !

I think the firmware is version 8 (I think) and the unit is the original Kam
(not Kam +) Would this maybe the problem ?
