full, if anything else is sent to may get lost.
The way we worked around it, was to not only test to see if there was room
in the buffer left, but also wait for unacked packets to be acked if
connected. Of course, the Kantronics host mode is really the only way to do
this effectivly. Running a program that's not a host mode program has no
way to check for the free buffer bytes, or unacked packet.
You should find documentation about this in their host mode programmers
guide, on the kantronics web site.

Subject: Is my MFJ1278BDSP working?
Hi,
I'm running an FT847, and I've just got an MFJ1278B/DSP multimode TNC. On
VHF 1200bps packet with MONI ON, I only seem to see packets which come from
S9+ stations. Should I be able to see _all_ packets, including those of, say
an S5 station?

Has anyone been using MiniCom since the Great Century rollover?
I understood that it wasn't Y2K compliant and haven't had the
courage to try it...(pardon for mentioning Y2K - Minicom worked
great for packet)

Seems unlikely -- it's just a terminal program! I tried it just now
and it seemed OK.
