Sure. A bandpass wider than the signal lets in excess noise, so your
SNR is sharply degraded, and your BER goes through the roof. For
best performance, you want a matched filter response. But good
frequency stability isn't that hard to achieve, so this isn't a major
issue.
Note that with SS there is also a stability issue, in that case in the
time domain, which places constraints as severe as those for
frequency stability do on NB transmissions. It is really the same
problem since frequency and time are reciprocal. The problem is
tractable in either case. High precision references are readily
available. (GPS disciplined oscillators are a common way to get
the required stability for even multi-megabit links.)

Is there a way to get around the problem of listening to
GSM telefones such asGSM 900 cellular?
Does anybody know how to make it possible in a cheap
way to listening to the GSM-traffic?

Oh yes.. One more thing. If you use PACTOR for your EMAIL etc, then I would
recommend you use AIRMAIL program with your PACTOR TNC (e.g. KAM PLUS, SCS
PTC II etc). AIRMAIL is designed to work with WINLINK/NETLINK system.
AIRMAIL is free. go to http://www.winlink.org/k4cjx/ and hit download etc

K-NET is an option purchase, and the chip contains both K-NODE and K-NET.
K-NODE was the older non-network interface.
The advantage of a K-NET is that a simple little (battery powered even) box
and
an old radio can be used as a node out on the prairie. The KPC-9612 can do
the 9600 to 1200 backbone networking for these low baud rates. N0ELS and
KB5KWV have two of these at 400 ft or so, and can bring in the Oklahoma
panhandle users. There is no internet in the panhandle, so they appreciate
the
link. Couldn't do it with Flexnet or some other computer based system, as
they
wouldn't give you that much space on a commercial radio hut.
Until Charles get's 400 ft towers built for Oklahoma Hams, I guess they will
have
to use the Kantronics solution out on the prairie.
