I have built 3 2000xp machines and 1 1800xp machine they all ran so hot
that they had to be turned down in the bios or within minutes they would
reboot.

Solved the overheating by buying better fans that run at 7200 rpm and have
copper heatsinks. It seems the ones you get with the board and chip are not
up to the job. Must admit when the machines were put up to normal speed it
doesn't seem to make a whole load of difference. The 1800xp I am writing
this on is running at 38C at full speed, with the original fan/heatsink it
ran at 68C when the speed was turned down and was unusable at normal speed.
