It's a pleasure to see informed comment from VK land on this subject. I
believe in my original response I said many of things that Gordon now
reports. The original demo having sufficient "gee whiz" to get the ordinary
newspapers to report the item.

Again something I said. 

I do note that the original reporter, G4IJL has been mysteriously silent
about this. You cannot go around claiming the end of HF amateur radio and
not be prepared to justify it, especially when you seem unable to make a
technical appraisal as to exactly what is proposed.  Having made
such a dramatic and ill informed outburst, a few words of apology would not
go amiss. However, I for one shall not be holding my breath in
anticipation!

Perhaps G4IJL would like to make a comment on the dangers of the "Good 
Times" virus whilst he is scaremongering? ;-)
