No, Warren, I didn't mean the Brownie 127, like the one I had in the early
'60s or the Kodak Instamatic which took film similar to 35 mm.

The Kodak POCKET Instamatic was a small, film camera which took a much
smaller film size, similar to Super 8 movie film i.e. 8mm. It was also 200
ASA as the flash wasn't brilliant. It was about the size of a 10 pack of
cigarettes and fitted into the top pocket of the average jacket.
It was quick and easy to use but not intended for anything better than a
postcard sized snapshot.
I carried it a lot as I said because the 35mm Chinon could be annoyingly
heavy so I only used it for my professional stuff,
The pic I sent out of the Marconi monument could have been taken with the
Chinon which was a long walk back to the car park and digging it out from
under the passenger seat.
I wasn't to know back then that 30 years later my picture would be sneered
at by people who probably had good quality cameras on their mobile phones
and maybe, owned SLRs like the Chinon or, better still, could afford a
Hasselblad or Mamiyaflex. I've never been that rich.

That is why I didn't 7Plus the pic of me standing in front of the Atomium
in Brussels (just before I got fat) I didn't want to get the insults again
so I just scanned it and emailed it to Pete.

BTW. The 127 film size was a poor man's 35mm so the Brownie and the
Standard Instamatic weren't bad at all. No TTL or SLR but O.K. for the
price.
