Hello Warren, and everyone participating....

I scribe this, just as Ian G0TEZ ..."pops" online on the Skype
where....we set a new record. <hahahahahaha> I'm not sure if
you can remember, but Ian mentioned once, us blabbing for 3 hours
and from then on after that...no more... he would be keeping track
of time.... Well Now he has another record to break...as we are up
to 4 hours 18 minutes and 43 seconds.

I also wanted to verify, that ian sent me photos of his days as
the count. He looked the part, and I wonder where this
"Fat Bat" idea came from? As we were online, he also demonstrated
his famed voice and a few great stories <g> which would have goth-type
gals chasing him. Thanks Ian. And We will when we can get a list
of our top favourite rigs this side, to compare.

As the US started long before CANADA, they will have some very
interesting radios, as I have seen some pictures sent by a few
American sources. Lots of links too...

Thanks to a UK source using the SP via his packet BBS station
he corrected a mistake.... And it all came back as a "jingle"
which goes like this....

"Jeepers Creepers ....where'd ou get those peepers? "

Yeaaah ...that was a pleasant surprise. I wanted more vertical on
the support, but I think it was something to do with the U bolts not
allowing it, but it was so fast, and I got interest with some of them
as they are with REACT and serves as a training exercise, as well
a chance to meet other people like myself in another service.

  On-air on 80 ... I was informed, if I needed this help, I could
of let them know ....DUH.... like if off air, and HF down...how do
I do that ? Or perhaps Maria would stand on the tower to hold the
repaired wires to ask for this help.

It gives me, also other things to listen to...so yeah great to have
it back working. If not...it was gone this summer.

OK ... have to run. Thanks for the memorys...it also brought some
responces to me via phone on 2meters on the subject, as well the
little snots-type voices who hated it, and..oh well they didn't come
across as being friendly people. I met on 2m ...the son of a pioneer
in Toronto, where he owned a radio shop on the main drag since 1920s
and it was and is great to have him as a friend, and listen to his
mrmorys on CB or GRS as we knew it.
