Hi Pete and all,

A fat Dracula and jet assist packs to get Ian up there reminds me of Fat
Albert and the RATO packs. (JATO is another thing entirely.) No, not one
of the Cosby Kids other than the name taken, it's a transport jet that
appears at air shows but today minus the RATO packs. They haven't been
manufactured in quite a few years and the last one having been used the
takeoff isn't spectacular anymore but the plane is still impressive in
itself. I guess Ian will have to make his own and hope he doesn't blow
himself up like the Mythbusters did to that Chinese emperor (Buster) and
his rocket chair. (;->)

Right, it's just that some receivers are better than others which gave me
the edge. Just a follow-up, that CBer in Atlantic City was envious of my
Heathkit twins not just for the bit of extra RF but for the cutting edge
audio the modified Apache had. That thing was amazing, it sliced through
stronger signals like butter so I was HEARD head and shoulders over
carrier chuckers and noisemakers. When he heard I was selling out he
traveled nearly the length of the state to get them, I got a neat $500 in
1980 Dollars out od that one. (;->)
