As for the mention of pictures of me in my CB gear. I know some were taken
but where they went I just don't know.
Back then I was 6' 22 painfully thin and very white.
I had a black, three piece suit with black shirt,socks and even underwear
in case I struck lucky. I obtained a nurses cloak and changed it's colour
from red to black with some dye and added a gold bracelet at the neck
which would close it completely or let it open more, giving a bat effect.
On the air, I didn't use the Christopher Lee voice, instead I used the
Valentine Dyall deep 'brown' voice with a slight eastern European accent.
If you can remember Valentine Dyall, Boy! you ARE old!
Not only did the voice genuinely terrify some people, especially if
combined with a Binson Echorec which I occasionally used but it had a
peculiar efect on women, especially if I threatened to bite their necks.
I can't go into details but ...it was fun!
It could never happen again. I weighed only 10 Stn (140 LBs) then against
13 St 7 lbs (196 Lbs) now and the long, black hair is now grey. I still,
occasionally, get some peple come up and address me by my 'handle' Now.
I'll have a look through my photo albums just in case I have a 'photo but
I don't hold out much hope..
