Hi Pete and all,
Your comments reminded me of myself, one who seldom used any sort of "CB
lingo" being it was unheard of back in 1965 when I started out and I
never picked it up. I loved to goof on them though, I'm nobody's good
buddy, I'm not a teapot so I don't have a handle and as for a coffee
break I drink mine hot, not freeze it and hit it with a hammer.
That was a fun beginning to our OT's new philosophy, CB stands for chop
busting and we came up with some real gems that drove them crazy. Perhaps
that was a bad idea, only a few years later they went crazy for real and
we moved on to greener pastures. I can't say it has returned to normal
being it's a graveyard here, the only things I can hear and weakly at
that are a few remainging linear mouthed nut cases up north, the area I
left behind for good reason. Yup, CB was only the on air expanding urban
ghetto I finally outran at least for now, hopefully I have a few good
years left before I croak or it catches up again, whichever comes first.
Oh and BTW I found a few ex CBers become hams from my old stomping
grounds on the internet forums so there are the occasional threads like
this one. Pepperage Farm remembers and so does Brooklyn deah de deah deah
deah. (Not CW but a secret code, hi.) Lest I forget I must give Static
Island an honorable mention, FYI it happens to be just south across the
water from Brooklyn. (;->)
