Hello Dave and readers,

Yer bloody well right, mate! Now if someone doesn't like that go watch an
old British movie from the days when censors were very picky about such
things. (;->)

Having been interested in etymology (yeah, look it up, hi) I have learnd
a whole heck of a lot about the origin and evolution of words and
phrases, slang and what some may consider foul language. Hey, you just
looked up that word and you didn't even crack a dictionary,
congratulations! Yes, there is quite a difference between curse words,
swearing and obscenity. Hmmm, that would have been better put as
"cursing"? No point in explaining, rather do your own homework, personal
studies make a better teacher than I.

Now here's an interesting point. Modern English be it British, American,
Australian or whatever is a polyglot. Certain foreign words have crept in
and some are normally considered foul expletives. Sorry, no examples
forthcoming even for educational purposes, again, do your own homework.
In the source language however they are a part of everyday speech and are
quite acceptable. Frankly, I have no idea why English speakers consider
them unacceptable.

Now I hope that between us Dave, we have set at leat a few to thinking
about the English laguage and it's use. The little hint laid between the
lines is "hesitation", hesitate just a bit before you detonate.

Oh BTW, I used to cheese off my teachers by writing "aluminium" and
pronouncing it the British way. They absolutely hated me when I corrected
them after they "corrected" me, pointing out that the American common
spelling and pronunciation originated with a spelling error. (;->)

Oh, lest I forget, I read and replied to "Vandalism", don't miss it. That
too was an excellent bit of work on your part.
