Hello to all….

….Severe Weather Threat for Monday May Be on the Increase for late this afternoon and tonight across Much of Southern New Engla
nd with Damaging Winds and Large Hail the primary threats. Threat timeframe appears to be after 3 PM this afternoon….

….SKYWARN Activation with Ops at NWS Taunton Becoming More Likely for late this afternoon and this evening….

The threat for severe weather appears to be increasing across Southern New England. At 745 AM, Doppler Radar indicated a line o
f showers and embedded thunderstorms was moving through the region. This will most likely not be severe and is the pre-frontal
trough that will increase moisture and dewpoints over the area. Behind this area of rain, Satellite pictures shows fairly signi
ficant clearing over New York State which may allow for the heating and destabilization required for severe weather to develop
and work with favorable shear profiles centered near and to the north of Southern New England for possible severe thunderstorm
development. The only other questionable item may be the timing and forcing from the cold front which is forecast to get close
to Southern New England late this afternoon or early this evening and whether severe weather can occur given this later timefra
me of the frontal passage. These trends will be monitored throughout the day.

SKYWARN Activation with Ops at NWS Taunton is becoming more likely for late this afternoon and this evening anytime after 3 PM
with the more likely timeframe after 5 PM today. This will be the last complete coordination message on this threat with a shor
t message to be posted if formal activation occurs if time allows. Below are the NWS Taunton Special Weather Statement and Haza
rdous Weather Outlook detailing the threat:

Respectfully Submitted,
Robert Macedo (KD1CY)
