Thanks to those who responded to my bulletin about the Doggysoft Termite
Internet program. I have received the leaflet from Doggysoft, and there is
no mention of any problem with availability.
Personally, I am very brassed-off with this Vapourware phenomenon. I don't
know if it's the same for Windows applications, but I think it's absolutely
disgraceful that time after time after time, applications are advertised yet
are not conpleted. I realise that the software companies are having to think
ahead, as they must get their advertising copy in some weeks (or even
months) in advance. However, personally I think it is immoral to place an
advertisement BEFORE the product is ready. If that means thin sales before
the adverts are finally published, then so be it.
Perhaps it's time us those of who form part of the tame and captive market
for Acorn third-party products, started getting nasty!
I shall see what is demonstrated at Harrogate in the Spring, but if products
areadvertised beforehand but are still not available by the show date, then
perhaps it's time to start writing letters to the appropriate bodies, be it
Trading Standards or whatever. We've been too meek for too long, and I'm as
guilty as anyone!
Bye
73 from Rick G4BLT @ GB7WRG.#19.GBR.EU [Wakefield IO93gp]
