Hello from KN05ps, the site of the former YO2S(ix) beacon...
Wish you and yours all the best for 2006, good health and prosperity.
Fashion was always the 'moving factor' in a comsummer society, and
the fashion of the maggic band is already over !...whats next ?.
The 'big guns' have fullfiled their goals (top DXCC scores, contests,
big arrays), the 'small pistols' are still unable to get decent DX's,
youngsters are far away from this band...Echolink is much easyer !.
The 'digitals' on .230 are playing the game with their PC's, no skills
are needed, always the QSO is 100% being confirmed via the DX-Clusters.
VHF & up, was and remains a BIG challenge in amateur radio, only a few
did manage to stay realy active (with fair play) more than a decade !.
We do complain about 6m, look whats going on on 70cm EME...its worse
than I could imagine 15 years ago !...
FASHION is whats move us around, we have to act like pupets following
the 'red (orange!) line'... always there is a 'must' !.
Enjoy amateur radio, do it in your own way, complaints are a waste of
time...you change notting, hi !.
