Hi Billie, Peeter, Roger, Michael and all reading this!
Rogher KB0SON Happy to see you joining in our net. I think you are
probably the main gardener - it sounds like you have good weather for
growing things. But I'm afraid your weather is too hot for me. We've
been complaining about our cool weather in Western Washington - but
August is looking good - up to 90 F this weekend. Our local supermarket
has some fall vegetable starts on sale so I've planted 4 of lettuce and 4
broccoli. I planted them in the flower bed and will be interesting to
see how they grow.
Michael - enjoyed hearing about your daffodils. We bought Braeburn
apples from NZ at the market this morning. Hope you find the kind of
work your looking for soon.
Peter, hope you can make the trip with Maria this year. I'm sure it is a
challege to clear the hurdles - house sitter, cat feeder, etc.
Billie, yes, I have fond memories of the state fair in Sseptember - we
were given a day off from school and I especially enjoyed the displays of
vegetables and fruits arranged in colorful designs.
Got to go. Take care.
