Hi Michael and Peter and all It was a fairly quiet month. The birthday
party for our great grandson's 8th birthday was fun. And we did go to a
luncvheon for retirees in Tacoma. It was nice to see some folks we
haven't seen for a long time.
The garden? Well, the lettuce is doing fine. The strawberries are small
buat especially sweet this year so I did make Bob a strawberry shortcake.
I planted 2 patio tomatos and one cherry tomato plant in pots in the
front yard and they ARE growing but it's going to be awhile before we
have any ripe tomatoes. The beans however - I had finally gaiven up and
decided they weren't going to come up at all - then one day about 3 weeks
after planting they started to pop up . But some critter - probably a
slug - had been waiting and imamediately started chewing them offd. I
put bait around and some of them are growing but it is rather a sorry
looking crop. I need to put the strings up to encourage them. Have
also planted several Gerbera Daisies so there is color in the garden.
But Junae was cool - showers every other day and so far July is the same.
ONly 2 or 3 days when it has gotten to 75 degrees. But now they are
forecasting 90 for Thursday.
We went to a barbecue at our church on the 4th - delicious food.
I finally got connected to my BBS today - I'd better stop before I'm
disconnected again. I finally did get to read all your report Peter -
and Michael. You have been busy with your electronic projects. Good
luck.
