Yes I also remember fondly the postings on Packet radio from Sarah AB7PS.
She couldn't get any answer from her BBS SYSOP to help her get things
going better at her station.
Just in from my local library. They are having a book sale. I got a PC
Networking book & an old book on Linux for NZ$2. Also a CD of "The best of
Vivaldi" for just $1.
Quite nice violin & flute music.
OK on staying with YL@WW for our bulletins.
I can send some pictures as zip files or jpg files using 7Plus on Packet.
Maybe I shouldn't send them to YL@WW in case it upsets someones automatic
mail reader program?
How about I send pictures to YLP@WW instead?
To get them Packet terminal software like NBF, Winpack, Sally would be
required. I haven't tried the new Outpost program, so maybe someone can
say if Outpost can cope with 7Plus?
For those still on DOS (maybe hardly anyone) there is T4 & TPK available.
My two cats are fine. Daylight saving has ended & it sure is dark in the
morning at 6AM on the way to work. I picked the last of the easy to reach
apples on the tree at my mother's house. The days are mostly clear & the
evening much cooller now. Lots of stars in the Southern Skies.
The Southern Cross is most prominant tonight. Orion is visible at this
time of year.
My sister & family enjoyed a holiday this week at the Rotorua thermal
wonderland (somewhat like Yellowstone park in the USA).
Lots of work on at the satellite TV station I work at - FOOD TV & Living
Channel. A good number of new shows & more series of the old favourites.
I haven't heard from the hospital when my eye clinic is. For now I am
getting by with a magnifying glass & setting the PC screen to 14 point
font rather than the 8 point font I used to use. Most of the PCs at work
are able to be used with the Windows MAGNIFIER tool. One or two are video
servers & I worry to run the magnifier on them in case the server crashes
& takes the two TV channels off air. Our new Pebble Beach automation
software is running live on Food TV.
