Peter and Michael, I read your recent postings to YL with much interest.
Peter I was so sorry to hear about your most recent health problems, but
am glad to know that you came through it all. I know Maria was frantic
to be in Brasil while your condition was so uncertain. I'm glad she was
able to get that emergency flight home and be there with you. I hope,
with a little more time, you will regain your strength. K.O. and I
understand about looking around and seeing all those things that need
to be done and not being able to do them. We don't have the health
problems that you do, but we do have the "golden years" handicap. And,
it is getting more and more difficult to even hire someone to do the
menial jobs that need to be done. That is not the type of work folks
want.
Michael, I always enjoy reading what you have to say about the customs
and what is happening in your country. Your comments about Easter were
very informative. And, I like to hear about your cats as well as
Peter's dog, Rusty.
Peter, I read your bulletin about the OM category. I think that is a
good idea for passing information as well as just camaraderie. However,
if you and Michael move to that category, I'm afraid there won't be
anything to read in the YL category. We YL's aren't writing much that
makes it to packet. I do read your postings to various categories, also.
Spring is finally coming to our area. I know cold is relative, but to
us here, we had a long, cold winter. Now we are seeing an abundance of
Bradford pear tress in bloom as well as redbud trees. The Bradford pear
blossoms are clusters of tiny white flowers and the redbuds have rosy
mauve blossoms. The trees in this area are hardwood and just a tall mass
of twigs when the leaves fall. Now, we are beginning to see the green
leaves reappear. Soon our hills will be a sea of green.
I just wanted to say "hello" to you two and anyone else who might be
reading along. Keep those postings coming. They ARE read.
